Diagnosis
Two species-groups are distinguished:
1. Lateral margin of telson clearly arranged alternately with a longer spine and several shorter spines. Endopod of 2nd pereopod with subchelate termination. Telson cleft with rhomboidal space: Boreomysis bispinosa.
2. Lateral margin of telson not arranged alternately with a longer spine and several shorter spines. Endopod of 2nd pereopod without subchelate termination. Telson cleft without rhomboidal space: Boreomysis acuminata, Boreomysis atlantica, Boreomysis illigi, Boreomysis insolita.
