Margin with lappets; without tentacles; with rhopalia between some marginal clefts. Mouth typically having not a single central opening but numerous, in some species thousands, of minute mouthlets on eight (4 x 2) adradial, fleshy, branched, arm-like appendages arising from centre of subumbrella (central "normal" mouth-opening also present in some species).
