Rhopalonematidae without gastric peduncle; with gonads along radial canals, separated from manubrium; tentacles of two kinds: 8 large perradial tentacles with swollen ends, and 16 inter- and adradial short, stiff, cirrus-like tentacles with swollen ends; enclosed statocysts.
