Familia Corynidae

Anthomedusae with bell-shaped umbrella; with simple circular mouth; 4 radial canals and circular canal; 2-4 hollow marginal tentacles; gonads completely encircling manubrium; with abaxial ocelli. Two genera: Dipurena (gonads divided in one or more rings), and Sarsia (gonads undivided).
