[Copepoda] Plan of copepod body organization (tagmosis*) in which the major body articulation primitively is located between the fourth (Pd4) and fifth (Pd5) pedigerous somite (= fifth and sixth thoracic somite, respectively) (Fig. Co.6.1B). Podoplean tagmosis typically occurs in all copepod orders except for Order Calanoida and Order Platycopioida. (cf. gymnoplean tagmosis).
