[Cephalopoda] The cartilaginous pad that contains variously shaped grooves, pits, pockets, or depressions on each ventrolateral side of the posterior part of the funnel, which joins with the mantle component to lock the funnel and mantle together during locomotion (Ce 1E, Ce 1G).
