[Hydromedusae] Minute marginal club-shaped structures situated on the umbrella margin between the tentacles. They have a narrow peduncle and a thick distal portion. Cordyli may be hollow or completely filled by endoderm, with or without cnidocysts. Their function is unknown, probably sensory (e.g., Laodiceidae).
